A textbook victory. Detroit will have no chance if Boston continues to play the way they’ve been playing. Yes, the Bruins capitalized on a couple unusual mistakes by the Red Wings, but they also played an all-around solid game. The special teams was great, and enough can’t be said about the goaltending – Tuuka Rask should be a clear-cut Vezina Trophy winner this year, with the exception of a couple other netminders. If Boston can win the next game, I feel confident they’ll take the series; if they lose, however, things certainly will be interesting. Can’t wait till Game 4!
On a sidenote, who would have thought the Montreal Canadiens would have swept the Tampa Bay Lightening? Incredible. I hope Montreal loses some steam if Boston has to face them in Round 2.
